Humour, history, music, stories and…..stones ! This evening in the candlelit surroundings of St Oswin’s Church promises to be an engaging and entertaining evening of archeological anecdote and song.

Teaming up for us are the North East’s favourite TV historian and all round raconteur John Grundy and Tynedale’s own Peter Ryder. John Grundy is well known to audiences in the region for his passionate, knowledgable and humourous delivery of a wide range of local interest programmes dealing with the landscape, history and characters of counties Northumberland and Durham.

Peter Ryder is a buildings specialist, medieval archaeologist, speleologist, fossil hunter, singer songwriter… in fact whatever Peter turns his hand to, he always has a story to tell. Tonight they take us on a whirlwind tour of the historic churches of the Tyne Valley. The stones can speak and they’ve seen many a thing - keep up if you can!
