“Trunk, Tail, Ears or Wings ? Carnival creates itself from all sorts of things !”.
This special new show is the "Carnival of the Animals" but not as we know it. Dissected for body part potential to create the "ultimate animal" the fantastic Lempen Puppet Theatre take inspiration from the music by Camille Saint-Saëns, a little help from Charles Darwin and a whole lot of cardboard to mash up a show full of puppet possibility that will Inspire and delight all ages.

Lempen Puppet Theatre, founded in 1987, is one of Britain’s great touring theatre companies. They tour extensively all over the UK, and have appeared at various festivals, theatres and schools across Europe. Lyrical and absorbing puppet plays, underlined with music, form the backbone of their style and they produce entertaining, quality theatre for children and family audiences. The company is Liz and Daniel Lempen. Daniel hails from the mountains of Switzerland, while Liz, a fine art graduate, enjoyed most of her upbringing in Herefordshire. Since 1994 they have lived, together with their children, in Skipton, North Yorkshire. Mainly a touring theatre company performing their own work, they also make and direct for other companies, do workshops, and are the directors for the Skipton International Puppet Festival.

“LEMPEN PUPPET THEATRE COMPANY always makes things magic - a very special quality!” Rachel Feldberg, Ilkley Literature Festival
