Submission deadline: 19th January 2-4 pm, Wylam Institute

We are kicking off the WWT Festival 2019 with an exciting event: "Wylam Way" Arts & Crafts Collective Competition and Exhibition.

This year we’re celebrating Wylam's railway pioneers and unspoken heroes of our community, past and present. We are calling on people of all ages and abilities from across the village and beyond to participate. Entrants are asked to create an artwork dedicated to Wylam’s heritage. Painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, mixed media, textile, and print – all of these mediums are welcome. Everyone is invited to take part in the competition, which will be followed by a collective exhibition, featuring all entries.

The exhibition will take place in the Wylam Station House, which will be open to the public for the duration of the exhibition, thanks to Network Rail as well as Northern Rail and the Tyne Valley Community Rail Partnership.

The participants are invited to submit their work as an individual or part of a group. The deadline for submission is 19/01/2019. Once you have your work ready, please bring it along to the Wylam Institute on the 19th January between 2-4 pm.

The winner will be announced at the exhibition opening and will receive a commemorative "Wylam Way" Arts & Crafts 2019 award.
