We’re really delighted to welcome talented North East puppet maker extraordinaire Georgia Hill to this year’s festival. And we’re even more excited that she’s bringing her new range of fabulous creations - Georgia’s Monster Circus to join us too !
So “Roll up, Roll up, come and join the Monster Circus!” Can you make the clown tell jokes? Dare to make the puppet walk the tightrope? Georgia’s Monster Circus is a unique workshop opportunity for children to learn all about puppets and have a go at puppeteering. The puppets are made especially for small hands, the perfect size for children to operate and bring to life.
The Monster Circus workshop will provide an environment for children to learn about the puppetry art form. Each puppet represents a different puppetry style/use such as TV, carnival procession, or table top theatre. Children are free to ask questions of Georgia who has wide experience of puppet design and making including making all the puppets that are part of the Monster Circus. It promises to be a fun, enjoyable and creative afternoon for everyone that comes along.
Please Note: Today’s workshops are suitable for children aged 7-11 (i.e. Key Stage 2). As numbers for each workshop are limited we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment. All children must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian.
Our Wylam Winter Tales Cafe will be pleased to serve you teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks during this afternoon’s events.
