We love a cosy late winter Sunday afternoon in the atmospheric surroundings of Wylam, St Oswin’s being serenaded by fine local talent. So it’s a real pleasure to invite you to hear not one but two local choirs in one concert !

Dark Sky Voices are a superb women’s choir led by Fiona Lander. They meet and rehearse in Corbridge and perform at a range of venues and festivals throughout the year. They have a wide and varied repertoire and have recently performed at BAAFest in Bellingham and performed with Howay The Lasses at The Glasshouse in Newcastle.

Tyne Valley Voices are led by Simon Fidler and meet and rehearse right here in Wylam. They perform concerts around the North East.

This afternoon’s concert is a unique collaboration between the two choirs and will feature a varied programme in a wide range of styles that promises to leave you feeling uplifted, energised and full of hope and joy! Each choir will take the stage to sing before joining forces for some exciting new arrangements chosen especially by Fiona and Simon for this concert.

Our Wylam Winter Tales Cafe will be pleased to serve you teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks during this afternoon’s event.
